The tour starts at Colosseum, the largest amphitheatre ever built, an iconic symbol of Imperial Rome was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles such as mock sea battles, animal hunts, executions, reenactments of famous battles, and dramas based on classical mythology.
Then we will walk along the Imperial Fora leading to Venice Square with its imposing national monument, the Vittoriano and you can meditate on the place where Julius Caesar was assassinated. Then head to Piazza della Rotonda where you will find one of the most beautiful and best-preserved buildings from ancient times, the Pantheon and then straight to Navona Square, Spagna and Trevi Fountain.
In the afternoon we will enter the Vatican City State. The famous frescoes by Michelangelo in Sistine Chapel, then follow your guide into St. Peter’s Basilica, rich in works of art and monuments like the Canopy by Bernini, the bronze statue of St. Peter, the Pietà by Michelangelo and many more.
